MOM DIARIES

I held him closer trying to comfort him. I felt a soft twitch of his body. It happened again. He was having his first seizure.

Then there are other days where I simply don’t feel good enough. I question my abilities in every single aspect of my life – work, motherhood, marriage, friendships. 

I questioned myself earlier that day, like every day, wondering what type of people they will be when they're older.

I am selfishly writing to you because I want to remember you right now, just the way you are.  

When you're younger, you think adults have all the answers.  When you're older, you realize how little you actually know. 

My vow for the summer was to spend less time working and more time at home being present with my kids. What a terrible freaking idea.  

That’s the most beautiful thing about dreams. Especially the ones we need to let go. The dreams we finally do. They open up new possibilities. 

'I don't want you to ever die, I wouldn't want to live anymore', he looked at me like he wanted to cry.

Your tactics don't make you better or worse of a mom than anybody else.
